65 Years of Potash Production: A Legacy Captured in Art
As we mark 65 years of potash production and celebrate our deep roots in Saskatchewan, we commissioned a talented local artist, Josh Goff, to paint a dynamic and visually impactful “65” mural to celebrate this occasion.
“I’m hoping to tell a meaningful story of Nutrien’s history and future,” says Josh. “By integrating elements of local landscapes, agricultural life, and the essence of the potash mine, I aimed to capture the mutual growth of the company and the province over the past 65 years. Working with the land always reminds me of the many people I’ve met and our shared contribution to farming.”
Rooted in the community and connected to Saskatchewan’s farming heritage, Josh was inspired by these elements for the mural. Painted during the vibrant harvest season, the artwork embodies the hardworking and innovative spirit that defines Nutrien’s success and the people of Saskatchewan.
“As an artist, I'm always looking to find narrative in transformation, which is a powerful concept,” says Josh. “The mural symbolizes Nutrien’s history in Saskatchewan, celebrating a beautiful sense of home in the province.”
This artwork not only commemorates our 65-year legacy but also demonstrates our rich history of potash production and highlights the beautiful landscapes of Saskatchewan. It symbolizes Nutrien’s long-standing commitment to the province, its economy, the community, and the people who live here.
