Investing in the future of agriculture

Nutrien and Colorado State University (CSU) have developed a strategic partnership aimed at feeding the world through sustainable, innovative and inclusive practices.

Through a $10-million gift to CSU – $1 million each year over the next 10 years – Nutrien will fund state-of-the-art research facilities and teaching initiatives on campus, and provide scholarship support to students. This investment will improve research capabilities, help students prepare for a career in the field of agriculture and use new and innovative technology to sustainably feed the future.

Mike Frank, Executive Vice President and CEO of Retail at Nutrien, is excited about the alignment between Nutrien’s vision and the strategic plans put together by CSU and the College of Agricultural Sciences.

“When we talk to CSU and the folks in the ag school about their strategic vision, it really aligns with what we’re doing,” Mike says. “CSU’s commitment to sustainability, diversity and inclusion, global research and high-tech agriculture perfectly fits with Nutrien’s vision.”

In recognition of this partnership with CSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences, the Shepardson Building will be re-named the Nutrien Agricultural Sciences Building. It will be remodeled and expanded to house impactful projects, encourage student aspirations and support global agricultural innovation.
